What can I say? I love Tatnuck. They took an empty Star Market in the Westborough Shopping Center and turned it into an awesome independent bookstore. Don’t let the modest lowercase lettering fool you, (t)Tatnuck competes with the corporate bookstores down the road and thanks to local support, continues to be part of the local business scene.
I remember their former location in Worcester was great too, but if they had to move, I think this was a super place to settle into. The shopping (and parking) experience here is much more pleasant than going to Barnes and Noble and even Borders. It’s nicely set up and with section signs hanging above the bookshelves so you can see what you’re looking for. I also like their combination of lighting, it makes a well lit environment and I just personally have a thing for track lighting, so I love it.
They have a great gift selection so I’ve been here to find gifts for anything from birthdays (adult and kid) to housewarmings to baby showers. They also have a large assortment of cards and wrapping paper to make your gift presentable.
Tatnuck has a nice cafe in the front of the store that has great coffee an treats too.
When in Westborough, I highly recommend giving Tatnuck a visit. http://www.tatnuck.com/

They have a little art gallery in the back, and sometimes have little concerts back there too. I’ve performed there in the past. Good place.

Tatnuck is such a great store, and I’m so glad to hear they are doing well at the Westborough location.
I just stumbled up on this site and your Framingham site. Good stuff. Keep up the good work, especially with your support of local businesses.

I loved going to Tatnucks in Worcester. Their little restaurant had outstanding food. Great prime rib and outstanding sweet potato fries. I checked the site and don’t know if they have the same restaurant or just a small cafe. Their gift shop looks great. I can’t wait to check it out.

They clear pay attention when choosing their selection. A few vacations back I was looking for travel guides and they had exactly what I wanted, a better selection than the national chains that begin with the letter B.

I loved the one that was in Worcester. I don’t live in the area anymore but I’ll be sure to check out the Westborough site when visiting.

I liked the old Tatnuk in Worcester, too. It had much more personality and was funkier. All in all, books are fabulous, and any place that sells books is good by me.
It’s a good place to meet people for a quick meeting.
